Design and development are usually two jobs. Here they are one, so nothing gets lost in the middle.
I started out studying Creative Media and Photography, where I developed an eye for composition, detail and how things feel. My career then took me into technology and engineering, including delivering complex projects in the defence industry in both the UK and Australia. That experience taught me how to take complicated ideas, create a clear plan and deliver them properly.
Petal & Code brings those two sides together. I create thoughtful brands, bespoke websites and the functionality behind them, answerable for the design and the development from beginning to end, so the idea you approve is the thing that actually gets built.
In practice it means creative projects get approached with a delivery mindset: good ideas still need clear decisions, realistic scope and someone responsible for getting them over the line.
