A trainee hairdresser near Oxford Street needed to find her own hair models for Sunday and Monday appointments. She was already sharing her work on Instagram. I designed and built a one-page website she could link to from her profile, so anyone interested in coming in could see what was involved.

It started with her photographs

The low bun in the opening photograph is one of her own styles. I used that photo at the top of the homepage, then gave the rest of her work a gallery of its own. I kept the gallery background cream and used deep burgundy for the lettering and buttons, so the first thing you notice is the hair.

Before they send a message

Someone considering a cut and blow-dry needs to know what it costs and whether they can get to Oxford Street on a Sunday or Monday. I put the student prices, days and location together, with an Instagram button beside them so they can message her to arrange a visit.

She now has one link to share from her Instagram bio. By the time someone gets in touch, they can go straight to asking, “Could I come in on Monday for a cut and blow-dry?”
